ONLINE – TES presents: Suspendable Harnesses for Non-Traditional Rope Bodies with CTW

There’s many a pervading myth in the rope scene that center around the idea that only cisgender, petite, and short women can be suspended. We all know that’s not true. This class will present three harnesses of different difficulty levels that can allow large bottoms, masc presenting bottoms, disabled bottoms, less mobile bottoms, and many others to begin exploring suspendable rope harnesses.

Harnesses to be covered:

1. Mermaid (aka “pencil skirt”, legs together) hip harness
2. Hishi modified armbinder – requires a tying partner
3. CTW’s Orb Weaver Arms-free chest harness

Recommended prior knowledge: People tying should be familiar with the concepts of larks head hitches, reverse tensions, in-line single columns, non-collapsing single columns, half hitches, munter hitches, and weaving. The mermaid and hishi armbinder are beginner and intermediate level ties. The Orb Weaver is a bit more advanced.

Disclaimer: This class will teach the harnesses from the ground. Suspension will not be demonstrated. Rope suspension is a high risk activity. Please do not try to suspend with any of these harnesses unless you have taken a class on upline management and understand the risks involved. You should always have a spotter when attempting self-suspension.

CTW(she/her) is a fem-presenting rope top and sadomasochist from Virginia. She enjoys tying herself and others, teaching rope, and encouraging body positivity and inclusivity in bondage. She believes any body can be tied. When not doing rope, she co-teaches and bottoms for chain bondage with her long-term partner.
