Knife play 101 with Kanan

Interested in bringing a knife to a kink scene? This class will be an overview of knife play including safety and cleaning, different types of knives, ways to incorporate knife play into your scenes, sensation vs. cutting (blood play), how to negotiate a knife play scene, and what to do if things go wrong (first aid). This class will be broken down into these separate sections with a short break in the middle as well as a brief bit of Q&A after each part.

Kanan is a kinkster who joined the NYC kink scene about a decade ago to explore another side of myself and to express their creativity in different ways. Impact player, rope bondage enthusiast, sensation top, and a kinkster with a camera. Knife play is something they have done for the majority of their kink lifestyle in various ways from wax play to fear play, and they especially enjoy combining it with other types of scenes. Kanan is excited to share their knowledge and experience with others in a pointed discussion.

Quinn has been in and out of various kink scenes for about 8 years, often facilitating discussions or putting together workshops to explore the introduction to and deeper philosophy of BDSM. She identifies primarily as a submissive, impact and rope bottom, and a sacred object. Quinn has enjoyed being threatened with knives since she first discovered she was kinky, and loves talking about the fun and fear behind the desire with others. She works as a sex educator and event planner for her “day job”.
