ONLINE – Breaking Out; Making Dominance Easier for Womxn* with xSolaris

February 14, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$10 – $20

So, you want to try being a Domme**? Or maybe you’re no stranger to the Left-side-of-the-slash, but want to use awareness to take your skills to the next level. Perhaps you’re a Dom and notice a lack of Dommes at events you attend or are a submissive/bottom wondering how to support the FemDom community’s growth. Whatever your interest, join us for a 2-hour-long introduction*** to helping womxn and those socialized as female* explore their Big Letter side(s) comfortably and authentically.

This class is for everyone; those new to kink and the experienced, the 24/7’ers and the occasional dabblers, both the Left and right sides of the slash, and all genders. We will break down what evidence-based practices and research have to lend to these situations in mindful ways that anyone can implement.

Topics include:

Growing Up a Girl — The impact of gender socialization on kink role exploration (including intersectional influences).
Media, Models, and Mistresses — Common messages/stereotypes about womxn, power, sexuality, and kink and common reactions.
Discovering You — Cultivating your authentic Left side as a conscious choice, not a reaction.
Taking Back Your Authentic Power — Exploring practical tips for recognizing and actively receiving power in your everyday life.
The Golden Formula — Practical tips for lowering the barrier of entry, overcoming fears and insecurities, freezing up, setting boundaries, creating scenes, selecting play partners, selecting roles/identities, and building your soft and hard skills.
Where Did All the Domme’s Go? — Tips for communities and those not socialized as womxn on gaining the skills and awareness necessary to make space for Dominant womxn.
Listen Up — Real stories of growth, exploration, and breaking out of social norms to find authenticity and understanding.
Questions may be submitted beforehand to the presenter, and a short Q&A will follow.

*Including trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, gender fluid, gender non-conforming, agender people, etc. In short, anyone who has previously experienced or currently experiences the social phenomenon of “being treated like a girl.”

**Or any other Left-side-of-the-slash role/identity/title.

***Many of these topics are inherently quite complex and nuanced and it is impossible to cover every facet in this limited time. This class will therefore serve as a jumping point for further learning and growth.
